Hilliard Davidson H. S. Tech Crew is a support/service club which allows students to explore the field of technical theatre (i.e., lighting, sound, prop building, scenic construction and design, special effects, stage management, etc.) in both a theoretical and hands-on way.  The club not only provides the needed technical support for the high school's plays, but also for all concerts, awards ceremonies, recitals, variety shows, and other programs that occur in the Performing Arts Center.  Additionally, the club fund raises for theatrical equipment and tools that it uses, attends theatre conferences, sponsors social activities for its members, and collaborates with Drama Club on joint events/projects such as Drama Camp.  Membership is open to any Davidson student, grades 9 through 12 and serves as a path for membership in Davidson's Thespian Troupe (ITS Troupe #1316).  Students must be members of Drama Club and/or Tech Crew to participate in the school's theatrical productions (exception — chorus of the spring musical).
