Prerequisite: grade of "B" or better in Acting 1 and 2 or permission of instructor.

This course will teach students the basic elements of directing for the theatre. Students will read excerpts from books on directing, learn blocking techniques and play selection and criticism. Students will apply what they learn by directing Acting 2 students in various scenes. The course culminates with the full production of a one-act play selected and directed by the student.
